"Good Friend of Bill W" Phillip A. Talkish, age 55, of Erie passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. He was born in Erie on September 11, 1957 a son of Margaret Kimberlin Talkish and the late Ernest Talkish Sr. Phillip served in the U.S. Army for 12 years. He owned and operated O'Brien lock and key in San Diego, Calif. He enjoyed reading working crosswords and most of all he had his pilot's license and loved to fly. Besides his father, Phillip was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Talkish and a sister, Heidi Hardiski. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Talkish; five brothers, Johnathan Talkish (Jan) of Columbia, S.C., David Talkish of Erie, Matthew Talkish (Sandy) of Waterford, Todd Talkish (Gwen) of Pittsburgh and Ernest Talkish Jr. (Lisa) of Ennis Mont.; two sisters, Bonnie Logan (Steve) Millcreek and Rebecca Starvaggi (Frank) of McKean; several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to gather on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of a Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral, 230 West 10th Street. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by the Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street, Erie, 16508.
