Marian L. Miller Hill, 78, formerly of Cranesville, passed away Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Twinbrook Medical Center. She was born on May 2, 1934 in Elk Creek Township, a daughter of the late Earl and Madge Cantrell Miller. Marian attended grade school in Wellsburg at the Elk Creek Township School, later graduating from Albion High School. She also attended the Erie Commercial School and went to work for Penelec as a Clerk. She worked for Marx Toys in the office for many years, the Golden Dawn in Albion, was a school bus driver for Northwestern School District and worked as a cook at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge. Marian was a member of the Eastern Star, Albion, the Elk Creek Grange, and Pennsylvania State Grange. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics and bowling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death in 2011 by her beloved husband, Laurin E. "Ike" Hill, whom she married on May 14, 1953 in Wellsburg; and by her two brothers, Willard Miller and Raymond Miller and special son-in-law Bob Drury. She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Joyce A. Myers of Lexington, Ky., Dianne T. Dimon of Albion, and Carolyn M. Drury of Erie; her son, Brad J. Hill and his wife, Peggy of Cranesville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Wellsburg.
