Norma Heise, age 88, of Erie, died peacefully at home on October 12, 2012. She was born in Erie on May 31, 1924, a daughter of the late George and Sophia Koen. After graduating from Academy High School, Norma served in the US Army during WWII. She married the late Donald Heise and raised her family. She also worked as a repair operator with General Telephone Company. In later years she loved playing the lotto and watching favorite television programs. In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and George Koen along with a sister, Joyce (Koen) Shaw. She is survived by a daughter Linda (Heise) Lobaugh and her husband Mark and a son James Heise and his wife Karen. Norma also leaves three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa., 16502, on Sunday from 2:00 till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to services there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Ron King officiating.
