James C. Javon, age 65, of Erie passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Erie on October 8, 1947, the son of the late Michael and Lilly Wilsoncroft Javon. A lifelong resident of Erie, he was retired as the owner/manager of Huskies Beer Distributor in Harborcreek, and had also worked at Lord Corp. and Penn Beer. James was an avid golfer, enjoyed bike riding and working outdoors in his garden. He also loved to follow the lives and activities of his children and their families. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carol Soscia Javon whom he married on October 12, 1985 and by a brother, Thomas Javon. Jim is survived by a daughter, Brenda Sidun and her husband Greg of Sudbury, Ontario and by a son, Michael Javon and his wife Susan of Clover, S.C. He is the grandfather of Ashley & Ryan Sidun and Michael & Matthew Javon along with a great-grandson, Mikhail Sidun. He is the brother of Robert Javon and his wife Carol of Tampa, Fla.; Debbie Schrecengost and her husband Dale of Tampa, Fla.; Kathy Sider and her husband James of North East, and Carol Sprague and her husband David of Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph/Bread of Life Community. Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation or to AseraCare Hospice. Arrangements by the John J.
