Ronald A. Luebke, age 67, of North East went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 2, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 22, 1945 in Erie, Pa. the son of the late Rufus and Margaret Prindle Luebke. Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy as a stationary engineer. He graduated North East High School and was formerly employed at Electric Materials for 25 years and General Electric as a maintenance supervisor. Ron was a devoted Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. He was a former member of the North East Christian Missionary Alliance Church and current member of the North East Assembly of God Church where he taught Sunday school, served as church deacon, and was involved with numerous other activities including Church Men's Group & Bible Study. "If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing; but if you meet JESUS CHRIST and forget Him, you have lost everything." Ron loved taking long walks around the Freeport Beach area and spending time on the back deck with family and friends. He also especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. Ron will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 46 years Marge Bowen Luebke whom he married September 11, 1966; sons, Marcus Luebke and fiancé Denise of North East, Kirk Luebke of Millcreek, and Shawn Luebke of Ripley, New York; a sister, Judy McCool and husband George of Harborcreek; and several nieces, nephews, & cousins. Friends are invited to participate in a Celebration of Ron's Life and Memorial Service on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church 2025 Orchard Beach Road in North East, to be followed by a fellowship dinner. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Community Nursing Services of North East Hospice, 7 Park Street or the Assembly of God Church 2025 Orchard Beach Road North East, PA 16428.
