Brenda Ann Tangle Clayton, age 63, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born in Erie on June 25, 1949, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Tangle and Wilsia Mae Davis Tangle. A lifelong resident of Erie, she graduated from Tech Memorial High School. She was employed at Battersby Nursing Home, in the laundry department, for 19 years. Brenda enjoyed playing cards and bingo and avidly watched the Lifetime and Animal Planet channels. She loved her family and frequently babysat her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clayton; a daughter, Yolanda Tangle; a brother, Grover Tangle; three sisters, Barbara Jean Tangle Williams, Donna Tangle Hamilton and Jacqueline Tangle; and two stillborn infants. She leaves to cherish her memory lifelong companion, Robert Williams of Erie; three brothers, Lawrence (Ruth) Brothers of Edinboro, Pa., Lee Brothers of Sacramento, Calif. and Charles A. (Mary L.) Tangle of Erie; nine sisters, Maxine Brothers (Glenn) Fox, Geneva Brothers, Gloria J. Mems, Paulette Tangle, Claudette Cooley, Bonnie Atkinson, Doreen (Albert) Logan, Deloris Reed and Lynnette Williams, all of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at First Born Apostolic Faith Church of God, 1221 E. 19th St. A service will follow at 1 p.m., conducted by Bishop Climatee Roberts. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Funeralization by House of Law Inc., Penn Hills, Pa.
