Helen Tyczkowski Zebrowski, of Erie, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born February 13th, 1923 in Erie she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw "Bill" and Stefania Poswiatkowski Tyczkowski. Helen was a graduate of East High School. She worked at Sears in the catalogue department for 20 years until her retirement in 1987. She was a founding member of St. Luke Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Helen also enjoyed crafts, gardening, and chocolate. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Zebrowski in 2002; her son Robert Zebrowski in 1995; five brothers, Casimir Tyczkowski, John Tyler, Ray Tyler, Alfred Tyler, and Alex Tyler; and a sister, Mary Zielinski. Survivors include, a son, Paul Zebrowski, wife Mary, of Erie; three daughters, Joyce Zebrowski of Erie, Christina Chludzinski, husband Frank, of Santa Fe, N.M. and Judy Gardiner, husband Robert, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sr. Mary Anthonille Tyczkowski C.S.S.F. of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sister-in-laws, Irene Tyler and Angie Zebrowski both of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at St. Luke Church, 421 East 38th Street on Monday at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
