Mrs. Catherine Frances Wigren, 87, formerly of Titusville and Edinboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Center in Gainesville, Ga. Mrs. Wigren was born on December 5, 1925 in Titusville, a daughter of the late John and Caroline ZdarkoKurach. She was married to Walter A. Wigren on September 16, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2004. Mrs. Wigren was a graduate of Edinboro State Teacher's College in 1962 earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She had been employed for the Penncrest School District having taught at Cambridge Springs Elementary School. She retired in 1989 after 26 years of teaching. She is survived by four children. Frances W. Robinson and husband Calvin of Edinboro, Walter J. Wigren, Jr. and wife Katrina of Savannah, Ga., Lisa W. Drake and husband Larry of Dawsonville, Ga., and Richard L. Wigren and wife Lynn of Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Adam, and Carly Wigren,Larry Drake, Jr. and wife Angela, Jennifer Burke and husband Tim, Lori McCollum and husband Chris, Terry Drake, Jacque House and husband Chris; five great-grandchildren, Keegan and Liam Burke, Harrison and Cameron House, and Daileigh Drake; and a brother, John M. Kurach of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Stella Howard and Jeanne Barker. No public calling hours will be observed. A graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Titusville will be announced at a later date.
