Craig J. Fisher, age 57, of Erie, passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Thursday, May 2, 2013, following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Erie on November 6, 1955, a son of James and Arlene Fisher. He graduated from Academy High School in 1973 and received his Master's in Education from Edinboro University in 1983. Craig was a music teacher in the Warren County Schools and most recently worked as an ER Technician at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Tyrian Commonwealth Lodge F&AM #362, Gridley OES #324, Erepa Grotto and the Zem Zem Brass Band. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting coins and stamps. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years Diane Peterson Fisher, three children, Lawrence Fisher and his wife Stacey Marie, LeeAnne Fisher and Daniel Fisher, all of Erie, one brother, Keith Fisher and his wife Pam, one sister, Cheryl Pierce and her husband Charles, all of Erie, his "furry grandchildren," Crystal, Sebastian and Gomer, and many nieces and nephews. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16504, on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., a Masonic Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Robin Swope officiating. Interment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
