William P. (Bill) Leute, Jr., 85, of Canadohta Lake, died on Monday, May 6, 2013 at St Vincent Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on December 9, 1927, a son of the late William P. and Annabelle Wilson Leute, Sr. Bill served as a S1 in the U.S. Navy during the last month of WWII. He had owned Custom Remodeling and Supply Co. in Union City, and later was self employed as a General Contractor. He served Bloomfield Township as a Supervisor and as a member of the Sewage Authority. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel at Canadohta Lake. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Leute. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret A. (Peg) Ott Leute. They were married on August 28, 1951. He is also survived by four sons; William (Patricia) Leute, III, Pittsburgh, Thomas (JoAnne) Leute, Girard, Patrick (JoAnn) Leute, McKean and John (Edith) Leute, Canadohta Lake; four daughters; Mary (Chris) Blakeslee, Erie, June Brine, Summerfield, Fla., Barbara (Herbert) Lucas, Townville and Dorothy (Joseph) Pittinaro, Pittsburgh and two sisters; Patricia Besonson, Cranberry, Pa. and Marilyn Snyder, Pittsburgh. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the C. S. Warthman Funeral Home, Inc., 69 N. Main St. Union City, on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited to attended a Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Canadohta Lake with Father F. Thomas Suppa officiating. Burial, with full military honors will be at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Union City.
