Donna Steele Daugherty, age 74, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Golden Living Walnut Creek with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 12, 1938, daughter of the late Boyd and Irene Johnston Steele.

Donna was a longtime member of Summit United Methodist Church. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, riding motorcycle and traveling with her husband, sewing and making gifts for others, and above all spoiling her grandsons and great-grandsons. Donna was previously employed by the Billie Jean King Tennis Center/King's Court/Pennbriar Health Club.

Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carl E. Daugherty of Waterford; one daughter, Karen Duran (Blaine); and two sons, Carl L. Daugherty (Lisa) and John Daugherty (Linda) all of Waterford; five grandsons, Paul Duran (Heather) of Erie, Andy Duran of Wattsburg, and David Daugherty (Erica), Brian Duran and Jason Daugherty all of Waterford; four great-grandsons, Jack, John, Danny and DJ Duran; one sister, Myrna Marshall of Punxsutawney, Pa; and three brothers, Bruce Steele of Dayton, Pa., Blaine Steele of Indiana, Pa. and Roger Steele of Punxsutawney, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Steele, Lula Malcolm, Martha Anderson and Evelyn Lundstrom; and her brothers, Earl, Dean, and Raymond "Bud" Steele.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Walnut Creek as well as Asera Care Hospice during her brief stay and all the prayers received during the recent months.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment Service will be held at the Smicksburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family. To send condolences, visit
