Judith "Jutes" M. DiTullio LaJohn, age 80, of Erie, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Presque Isle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born July 2, 1933 in Erie, the daughter of the late Bernard and Assunta (Fatica) DiTullio.
Judy was a lifelong resident of Erie and retired in 1997 from the Erie County Library system as a librarian with 37 years of service. She enjoyed golf, watching horseracing, the outdoors, and especially spending time with her granddaughter, Maria, and her two nieces, Lauren and Angela Aronica. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, James A. LaJohn; along with nine brothers and sisters, Mary Liotta, Ann Scalise, Rocco DiTullio, John DiTullio, Dan DiTullio, Dorothy Deniro, Evelyn Dobberstein, Richard DiTullio, and Elmer DiTullio.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Christina LaJohn and her granddaughter, Maria LaJohn, along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friend and caregiver, Joe Lash, along with her loyal companion, Buddy.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be private.
