Betty A. Ebert, 81, of North East, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Pleasant Ridge Manor East. She was born on May 6, 1932 in Erie, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel and Elvina Emerson Athanos.
Betty was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North East and the North East Senior Center. Betty was a self employed domestic worker, having been with several families in the North East area and also worked at Better Baked Foods in North East for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Ebert in 1997. Betty is survived by two step-sons, Raymond Joe Ebert and his wife, Delphine of Erie and Ronald E. Ebert of North East; one brother, Donald Athanos and his wife, Gloria of Fla.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, Pa. on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services there at 11 a.m. Vicar Matthew E. Dennison officiating. Interment will be in North East Cemetery.
