Angela Nicole "Nikki" Walters, age 32, of 2135 Gladstone Ct., B-4, departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie, Pa., to Gloria Walters and Gerald Sterling.
Angela graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Ala., where she spent ten years of her life. She was a resident of Erie for 22 years, where she was a member of Victory Christian Center. She served as a member of the Junior Usher Board and a member of Voices of Victory Choir. Angela was a music lover, she loved watching movies, and was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved to crochet and to bake. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and looking after children.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Charlice Walter, two uncles, William Johnson and Gerald Lee Johnson (Pig), and an aunt Melissa Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, two brothers, Brian M. Walters of Washington, D.C., Corey L. Walters Sr. of Erie, Pa.; two sisters, Devonne Pugh of Memphis, Tenn., Frances Miller of Erie, Pa., two aunts that played major roles in her upbringing, Louise Jones and Valerie (John) Boyd, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family at the Word of Life Christian Center, at 660 Hess Ave., on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., with Bishop Dwane Brock eulogizing. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family, via Law Funeral Home.
