Robert L. "Bob" Dambacher, age 71, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Fairview Manor following a lengthy illness. He was born November 1, 1942 in Greenville, Pa., a son of the late Francis X. and Ida Daisley Dambacher.

Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the General Electric Co. for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and the Retiree's Assoc. He was a member of the American Legion, Carl Neff Post #571. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, and spending time with his family and dogs.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol A. Dambacher; his brother, Francis Dambacher, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Frank Reimold. Survivors include his two children, Ted Dambacher (Rachel) and Belinda See (David); two grandchildren, Ashley and Jimmy See (fiance, Katelynn); a sister, Beverlee Reimold; a sister-in-law, Marcia Dambacher; and one great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As per Bob's wishes, his remains were entrusted to Humanity Gifts Registry for medical research. A memorial service will be conducted by the family on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Orchard Beach Assembly, 2025 Orchard Beach Rd., North East, PA 16428.
