Lucille M. Suesser Frisbie, age 96, of San Diego, Calif. and formerly of Erie died Monday February 10, 2014 in San Diego. She was born February 18, 1917 in Erie the daughter of the late George P. and Edith McCormick Suesser.

A lifelong resident of Erie, Lucille was a graduate of East High School and worked as a manager in the china department of the former Boston Store. She and her late husband Charles were founding members of St. Jude the Apostle parish where they volunteered at the many festivals and special functions. She also volunteered in the kitchen at Our Lady's Christian School and belonged to the church's Friends Over Fifty group. In 2007 she moved to California to live closer to her family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Frisbie; her daughter Nancy Jean Patterson who died in 2013; two brothers, George and Herbert Suesser, and by four sisters; Betty Schuster, Catherine Worner, Virginia Mrozowski and Beryl Jardine.

Lucille is survived by her son-in-law, Ron Patterson of San Diego; a sister, Florence Torok of Erie and Florida, and by two grandchildren, Keith Patterson and his wife Pam and Constance (Connie) Patterson, all of San Diego. She is the great-grandmother of Ashley Rieger, and Brian and Jacob Patterson. Also surviving is a great-great granddaughter, Aubrey Barrett along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady's Christian School, 606 Lowell Ave., Erie, PA 16505 or to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund, 130 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16501.
