Margaret Regelman Dias, age 94, formerly of Lawrence Park, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Regency at South Shore. She was born in Erie on November 21, 1919, daughter of the late William and Gladys Fetzner Regelman.
Margaret was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Gridley Chapter #324, Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem. Margaret had been an advisor for the Rainbow Girls and received the Grand Cross Award. She was an avid reader, and with her husband, enjoyed traveling, square dancing with the Y-Squares and wintering in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Frederick L. Dias, Sr., her twin sister, Madeline Brabender Filippo and her brother, William Regelman, Jr.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Frederick Dias, Jr. (Theresa) of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Kenneth Dias (Dianna) of Lawrence Park; one daughter, Nancy Pence of Fairview; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at the Regency for all of their loving care and support of Margaret.
