Mary Jane (Seelinger) Dahlkemper passed peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by her family, at her home in Erie, Pa. She was born May 4, 1934, daughter of the late Victor and Loretta Seelinger.

She attended St. Boniface School, where she was a member of the accordion band and graduated from St. Benedict Academy in 1952. While working at Cathedral Prep, she met and married the love of her life, Chuck Dahlkemper on October 20, 1956.

As a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, Mary enjoyed golf, tennis, traveling, camping, playing euchre, and socializing with just about anyone she came across. She was a life member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Lady's Guild. She also enjoyed reading as a volunteer at St. John's School and the Neighborhood Art House. Her passion was creating a loving home and making baked goods that she shared with all.

She and Chuck had a long, loving relationship, and she leaves behind four children, Dan Dahlkemper (Kathy), Janet Pawlowski (Bob), Judy Dailey (Charlie), all of Erie, and Doug Dahlkemper (Rhonda) from Washington, D.C. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aron, Gretchen, Linden, Tricia, Nathan, Sara, Margo, Shannon, Brian, Audrey, Eliza; and eight great-grandchildren, within whom she instilled her love of life, laughter, and no holds barred card playing. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Renner (Bill) and Shirley Piotrowski, both of Erie, and her brother Bob Seelinger (Mary Ann) of Falls Church, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kathy Zimmer, and granddaughter and personal angel, Krista Pawlowski.
