Dollie was born April 23, 1923, in Grange, Pa., the daughter of the late Allene B. and Harry J. Smith. She lived her entire life in the Punxsutawney area, until she moved to Erie in 2001. Dollie was always known as a very "sweet lady" who extended kindness and love to everyone. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched over the years.

Besides being a housewife, Dollie worked with her husband in their garage, Barnett's Auto Repair, in Grange, Pa. She was a member of St. Jacob' Church, in Grange, and attended Greenfield Baptist Church, after moving to Erie.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl W. Barnett (Joe), an infant daughter Carol Joan, and a brother, David Smith and his wife Martha.

She is survived by two sons, Carl R. Barnett and his wife Claire and Thomas G. Barnett and his wife Sharon and one daughter, Judith Firment and her husband Edward. She is also survived by her sister Jane Reed and her husband William of Kinsman, Ohio. The joy of Dollie's life was her family, and she will also be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks for the utmost kindness and wonderful care provided to her by the Twinbrook Medical Center staff.
