Ella Mae Jordan Gore, 79, of Erie, Pa., peacefully made her transition to eternal rest on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at UPMC Hamot.

She was born September 18, 1934, in Sandersville, Miss., to the late Johnnie and Ruth Hales Jordan.

She confessed Christ at an early age at the Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Sandersville. Ella relocated to Erie in the mid-50s, with her husband and children. She had been employed at Firches Bakery, OK Cleaners and Henderson Head Start. Ella joined with the Holy Trinity COGIC and was a lifelong member. Ella was a great asset to her community.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Holy Trinity COGIC, 1703 Holland Street, and may attend a funeral service on Saturday, April 5th at11 a.m., at the Second Baptist Church, 757 E. 26th St., with Rev. Dr. Allen B. Green, Senior Pastor, officiating, and Pastor Willie Harris, of Holy Trinity COGIC, eulogizing. Interment will be in Erie Cemetery. Funeralization is by Law Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave.
