Gregory M. Pruyn, age 70, of Millcreek, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at his residence.

He was born June 29, 1943, in Erie, the son of the late Howard and Grace Albertson Pruyn.

Gregory graduated from Strong Vincent High School, class of 1961, and joined the Army Reserves.

He was a machinist at General Electric Company.

Gregory enjoyed music and singing, and loved politics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Malone, and a brother, Marshall Pruyn.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Karen Bowen Pruyn, whom he married on June 30, 1964; a daughter, Connie Zezza Pruyn of Pine Mt., Calif., a son David Pruyn and his wife Crystal of Oregon, two grandchildren: Julia and Nathan Zezza; a brother, Danny Pruyn and his wife Sandra of Girard; a sister, Betsy Spizak and her husband Bob of Florida, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.

Private arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street.
