David G. Yuhas Jr., 49, of Girard, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 18, 2014, surrounded by those who loved him most, his family.
Born and raised in Girard, David left the area and lived in California for 20 years before returning home to be closer to family. Those who knew David know his love of movies. One of his favorite things was to gather the family for pizza and movie night. To watch a comedy with David is truly an experience. His laughter and enjoyment always made even the worst movie seem worthy of an Oscar. He was creative and talented, full of ideas just waiting to be brought to fruition. He loved to work outside and his talents are evident in the ponds that he labored over for many years, always evolving. His illness kept him from doing many of the things he loved over the past few years but he never lost his laugh or that smile through it all. Let us not forget the animals; he would be lost if he couldn't have his pets. He will be missed by Maisy, Bella, Star, and Lilly.
David is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jane Ann Yuhas; grandparents, Helen Thurston, Marie and George Yuhas.
He is survived by his father, David Yuhas Sr.; his siblings, Susan (Phil) Layher of Algonquin, Mary and Christine Yuhas, Kate (Jamie) Cipalla, James (Melissa) Yuhas and Richard (Kerri) Yuhas; his beautiful nieces, Megan Harned and Cheyenne Fogle; his nephews and best buddies, Joe Yuhas, Cody Cipalla, Matthew Harned, Blake and Evan Layher, Josh, Logan, Jack and Sam Yuhas.
So long Little Guy, Big D., Bro, George, Uncle, brother, friend and son, we will all miss you!
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Edder Funeral Home in Girard. Services will be private and no calling hours will be observed per David's wishes.
