Ronald D. King, age 67, of Erie, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born September 5, 1946, in Erie, the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Marshall King.

Ron was a graduate of McDowell High School, and served with the US Air Force during Vietnam. Ronald owned and operated King Tool and Supply for many years, and was also a life member of the Erie Maennerchor Club, where he enjoyed club activities and duckpin bowling. He was also a life member of the Times Old Newsies, and was currently President of the Saints and Sinners Dan Rice Tent. Ronald also was a former member of the Nuova Aurora club, and enjoyed boating and golf. He attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Hanson, Myrna Young and Kathleen Benson, along with a brother, Wayne R. King.

Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Kosobucki King; a son Joseph C. King and his wife Dr. Mona Leigh Guha of Columbia, Md. and their daughter, Willow Jaye King. He is the brother of Paul King and his wife Marilyn of Harborcreek; Mary Ellen Ericksen and her husband Dean of Sioux City, Iowa; Linda Provezano and her husband Frank of Leesburg, Fla., and Karen King of Erie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th and Liberty St., Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Thursday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Circus Saints & Sinners Dan Rice Tent, PO Box 222, Erie, PA 16512, or to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Dr., Erie, PA 16501.
