Violet was a member of the South Harborcreek United Methodist Church, and was also a longtime volunteer with the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.

She married Rocco A. Lusianno on September 12, 1944. They were united in marriage for 55 years, until his passing in 2000.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Violet was preceded in death by five brothers: Lloyd, Samuel, Norman, George and James Fisher.

Survivors include her only son, Gerald Lloyd Lusianno and his wife Blanche Ellen Cook Lusianno; her brother, Thomas Fisher; three sisters: Betty Jean Fisher Elder, Barbara Shirley Fisher Ranson and Loretta Fisher Breeding; three grandchildren: Angela Lusianno Ritz and her husband Gerald, Anthony John Lusianno and Dena Ann Lusianno Theiss and her two great-grandsons, who loved their Mamaw: Anthony John Theiss and Jacob Gerald Ritz.
