William H. Barker, age 71, of Titusville, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by all his family who loved him very much. Bill was a loving husband and wonderful father.

Bill enjoyed restoring antique and classic cars, and was a Steelers and Pirates fan. He was an expert archer and owned Bill Barker's Archery Shop in the 70s. In 1974, he was ranked #1 AAA Archer in PA P.S.A.A. He coached little league baseball for three years. Bill received an engineering degree from Penn State Behrend. He was employed for thirty-three years at R.M. Kerner Company as a quality control manager, and later retired from American Meter as a quality control engineer. He was very respected in his field to ensure ISO9001 certification compliant.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty years, Susan J. Barker, as well as his parents, Merle and Cora Barker,

Survivors include his one daughter, Mae (Macy) Bolton and husband Michael, of Harborcreek; two sons, Matthew Barker and Todd Barker, both of Erie; grandchildren, William Lemke and wife Jennifer, Todd Barker, Jesse Barker and wife Barb, Jamie Schau and husband Jason, Joel Barker and wife Julie, Jeffrey Barker, Jennifer Dick and Lindsey Bolton as well as many great-grandsons and great-granddaughters. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Further visitations will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16501.
