Thomas J. Griffin, age 60, of McKean Township, died Monday, May 5, 2014. Born in Erie, January 25, 1954, he was a son of John S. Griffin, O.D. and Edythe W. (Klavon) Griffin, both of whom preceded Thomas in death.
He was a graduate of Gannon College and was a computer programmer in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is survived by five siblings, Helen Notaro, husband Richard, of Lake City, John M. Griffin, wife Barbara, of Dayton, Ohio, Donna Griffin, of Erie, Alyce Kavcsak, husband George, of Kingsport, Tenn. and Mary Griffin, of Pittsburgh; eight nieces and nephews, Miche, Andrew, Beth-Anne, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Laurie, John and Liz; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Friends are invited to call at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th St., Thursday from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Gregory Cemetery, in North East, Pa. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., is handling arrangements.
