Victoria (Romanski) Sadlier, 88, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born on November 3, 1925, in Erie, Pa., a daughter of the late Peter and Victoria (Pioterowicz) Romanski.

Victoria was employed at Academy High School for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sadlier and a brother, Raymond Romanski.

She is survived by her sons, William Sadlier and Richard Sadlier, both of Erie; grandchildren, Wronetta Dougherty (Tom), John Sadlier, Richard Sadlier and Bill Sornberger (Mary); great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Dominic and Collin; brothers, Ronald Romanski (Judy), Harry Romanski and Pete Romanski (Sue), all of Erie, Jimmy Romanski (Karen), Florida; sisters, Dorothy Komorek of Erie and Dolly Yezzi of New York; many nieces and nephews also survive.

The Sadlier family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all of the wonderful care, especially her nurses, Erisa, Lisa, Kelly M. and Kelly; aids, Rosie, Joyce, Michelle and Ashley, who Victoria called her other granddaughter; and also a special thank you to Wendy Sadlier.

Victoria's wishes were to have no calling hours; funeral arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
