Stacy Jo Weidler, 50, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

Stacy was born in Clarion on June 10, 1963 to Dorothy Rowe Colvin and the late Darrell Colvin. She attended and graduated from Girard High School, and later attended Barbizon School of Modeling in Buffalo, N.Y. Stacy worked at Penn State Behrend in the Police and Safety Department.

She was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church, as well as the Girard American Legion Post 494, Ladies Auxiliary. Stacy enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, socializing with friends at the Legion, and spending time on her deck with her family.

Stacy will be deeply missed by her family which includes her husband, Daniel Weidler, whom she married on July 18, 1987; their sons, Seth Allen Weidler (Courtney Byham) and Shane Daniel Weidler (Amanda Sirak), all of Girard; her sisters, Jill Schwartz (Peter) of Southport, N.C., Kelly Chadman (Ron) of Culpeper, Va., Jennifer Colvin (Janee) of Columbia Md., and Elizabeth Mullinix (David) Columbia, Md.; her in-laws, William D. and Beverly A. Weidler, Bill Weidler Jr. (Kelly), Diane Weidler, Sue Rudler (Bob), Debbie Nolan (Matt), all of Girard; fifteen nieces and nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., Girard. Funeral services will also be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Brock Beveridge officiating.
