Daniel Yovich, 88, of Union City, Pa., passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Cambridge Springs Rehab and Nursing Center, Cambridge Springs, Pa. He was born June 4, 1925, in Union City, Pa., the son of the late Rade and Evica (Mraovich) Yovich.

Daniel worked for the Railroad in New York, then worked at the former Union City Chair Company, as a sander, before working for Penn Union, as a grinder, in Edinboro, Pa., retiring in 1987. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Leona (Perkowski), in 2012, and a brother, Eli Yovich.

Survivors include seven children, Karen (Robert) Hoyt, of Apache Junction, Ariz., Nancy Thomas and Linda Yovich, of Union City, Pa., Gary (Debbie) Yovich, of Waterford, Pa., Matt (Doris) Yovich and Ken (Vickie) Yovich, all of Edinboro, Pa., and Brian (Missy) Yovich, of Union City, Pa., fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Daniel's life on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Calvary Cemetery, 3325 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505, at 2 p.m. Memorials maybe made to Calvary Cemetery, c/o Daniel Yovich, 12009 Route 98, Edinboro, PA 16412. The Robert M. Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 62 South Main Street, Union City, Pa., is handling arrangements.
