Dorothy J. "Nan" Dolan, 91, of Corry, Pa., died on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the Corry Manor.

She was born on January 28, 1923, in Hazelhurst, Pa., a daughter of the late Merrit Nogar and Marie Locke Nogar Gilmore.

Dorothy was raised and educated in Hazelhurst, where she graduated from high school in 1941. Prior to moving to Corry in 1954, she lived in Philadelphia and Mt. Jewett, Pa. Her main priority was raising and caring for her family. In 1976, Dorothy began working as a dispatcher for the Corry State Police Barracks. She retired in 1990.

Dorothy, known by many as Nan, never met a baby she didn't want to rock. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who was an accomplished knitter and crocheter, as well as an avid golfer. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Nan was preceded in death on November 12, 1975, by her husband, Leo H. Dolan, whom she married on January 22, 1944, at Camp McCoy, Wisc.; and a brother Donald Nogar.

Nan is survived by two daughters, Lynn Bruno and her husband Charles of Corry, Pa.; Jayne O'Hare and her husband Hugh "Bud" of Reading, Pa.; a son, James L. Dolan and his companion Beth Rose of Corry, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Terry Trisket, Larry Davis, Jr., and his wife Tammy, Brian O'Hare, Amy Grapes and her husband Matt, Kelley Griswold and her husband Eric, DeAnn Way and her husband Devon and Jessica Dolan.

She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Columbus Community Church, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate.

Burial will be private.
