Dorothy Whipple, age 86, of Mercy Terrace Apartments, formerly of Lawrence Park Township, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was born December 13, 1927, in Erie, daughter of the late John and Ann Rafaloski Wisniewski.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Calvary R.C. Church, Erie Maennerchor and Siebenbuerger Club. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, cooking and baking, and was a former member of Lawrence Park Golf Club.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Whipple and two brothers, Alfred and James Wisniewski.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan M. Oldakowski (David) of Erie, Judith A. Skelton (Jon) of Harborcreek Township, Karen M. Whipple of Millcreek; one son, Ronald J. Whipple (Delores) of Midway Park, N.C.; one brother, Joseph Wisniewski (Jean) of Carson City, Nev.; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at Mount Calvary R.C.
