Donald D. DeDionisio, age 93, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Millcreek Community Hospital. Born in Erie on June 15, 1921, he was a son of the late Serafino and Marianne (Cutrona) DeDionisio, Sr.

In 1984, he retired as manager of GCM &D Motors Division at Erie General Electric, where he worked for 47 years. Donald loved spending time with and helping his family and friends. He enjoyed working in his yard, watching golf, and was a fan of the N.Y. Yankees. Donald was an avid bowler. He along with his brothers competed in the Brother Bowling Tournament for several years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and many clubs including: the Zukor and Siebenbuerger Clubs and the former East Erie Turners.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marie E. (Tevan) DeDionisio, in 2010; a son, Donald T. DeDionisio; five sisters, Lucy Kearns, Alvena Francisco, Marian Mando, Victorine Gore, Irene Fillipo; and five brothers, Serafino DeDionisio, Jr., Angelo J. "Bisk" DeDionisio, Raymond J. DeDionisio, Albert J. DeDionisio, and Paul J. DeDionisio.

Survivors include two daughters, Dale Marie Grignol and Marie Scupski, husband, Edward, of Erie; seven grandchildren, Gregory Grignol, of Laveen, Ariz., Amie Grignol, of Erie, Nathan Grignol, wife, Dr. Valerie, of Columbus, Ohio, Julie Conway, Jill DeDionisio, Garrett and Elena Scupski, all of Erie; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl DeDionisio, and his wife, Carolyn, of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Eleanor Dubaj, of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a service there Wednesday at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Patrick Church at 11 o'clock.
