Virginia Lucile Johnson Pratt, age 94, a resident of St. Mary's East, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was born in Bedford, Ind., on November 25, 1919, daughter of the late Olin and Eulela Crawford Johnson.

She was a 1937 graduate of Academy High School, and worked at Nubone Corset Co. for six years.

Virginia was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and had belonged to the Ruth Circle. She was also a member of Mercy Center on Aging and the St. Luke's Fantastics. She especially enjoyed time with her family, playing cards, and always remembering the family, with cards on their birthdays and anniversaries.

Virginia is survived by three daughters, Beverly A. Coverdale of Erie, Nancie Bryant (Rev. Lee) of Birmingham, Ala., and Micki Darrow of Palm Coast, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Lori (Greg) DiLoreto, Christy Hagood, Randy (Meridith) Bryant, Kelly Bliss, Dawn (Michael) Kujawinski, Joshua (Danielle) Bryant, Andrea (Chad) Angel, Amber (Patrick) Power, Daniel Bryant; eleven great-grandchildren, Nicholas Coverdale, Cara Hagood, Sarah DiLoreto, Justin and Alyssa Kujawinski, Kaley and Abbie Bryant, Shaye and Noel Power, Lexis and Tristan Angel, several nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Nina Pratt, Rosemarie (Richard) Chilcott.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Pratt, and three sisters, Louisa Glenn Hartleb, Mary Edith Brewer, and Violet Moryc.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mark Cervik, Nancy Hanlin, and the staff at St. Mary's East, especially Neighborhood C, for all the kindness and tender loving care they gave Virginia during her time there.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Sunday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Monday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2025 Eastern Ave., celebrated by Rev.
