Jimmie Lee "Pinky" Johnson Sr., age 46, unexpectedly departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2014, at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1967, to the late McKinley Johnson Sr. and Joyce Ellis Johnson.
Jimmie was a lifelong resident of Erie. He graduated from East High School, class of 1986, was later the owner of J. Lee Remodeling, and was currently working in maintenance, for SafeNet. He was a member and the treasure of Five of a Kind Motorcycle Club. Jimmie enjoyed being with his club members, and riding his motorcycle. He loved his children and grandchildren, and was a neighborhood dad to everyone.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Arrington Jr.
Besides his mother and stepfather, Marvin L. Arrington Sr., he leaves to cherish his memory his wife Delma Rosas Johnson, two sons, Marcus Lee and Jimmie Johnson Jr., both of Erie; two stepsons, Elier and Joel Kercado, both of North Carolina; three daughters, Teresa, Drarea, and Leslie Johnson, all of Erie; a stepdaughter Mariah Manus of Erie; two brothers, McKinley Johnson Jr. and Omar Arrington, both of Erie; three sisters, Vanessa and Shannon Johnson, both of Erie, and Tiffanie Greene of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jahmir and Kaz'mere Johnson and Tyrael Jones Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with family on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Dusckas Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Rd., and attend a funeral service Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11 a.m., at Bethany Outreach Center, 254 East 10th St. (10th and German), with Rev. Darrold Hobson eulogizing. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Dusckas Funeral Home.
