Anne W. (Walker) DiFucci, 83, of Lake City, died July 5, 2014, following a brief illness, at St. Vincent Health Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 18, 1931, in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Marie (Krieger) Walker.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Anne graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1949. She was employed by Copes Vulcan in Lake City, as an Executive Secretary, retiring from there in 1994.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard, and was a lifetime member of the Elk Valley Garden Club. Anne had a passion for flower and vegetable gardening. She was a wonderful cook and was always a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. "Papa" DiFucci in 1990, whom she married in July 21, 1951; her son, Ralph F. DiFucci on May 10, 2014; sisters, Ruth Say, Betty Niebauer, Marie Johnson, Jeanne Domowicz, Margaret Harding, and a brother, Fred Walker.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her daughter, Rebecca Nash of Girard; two sons, Joseph DiFucci (Jackie) of Wilmington, N.C., Jeffrey DiFucci (Lori) of Lake City; daughter-in-law, Linda (Richardson) DiFucci of Lake City; a brother, George Walker (Marge) of McKean; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that she truly adored, and also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9, at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Prayer Service will be held there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. William Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
