Lawrence A. "Larry" Bush, age 76, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his residence in Millcreek. Born Saturday, September 18, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Lawrence K. and Loretta M. Bush.

Larry moved to Erie with his family in October of 1941. He was a graduate of McDowell High School, Class of 1956. His career started at Sterling Seal Company where he managed the printing department. From 1970 to 1985 he was a Human Resource Specialist at General Electric, and later was a Regional Sales Representative at Lake Shore Industries from 1985 to 2002.

Larry was Vice-Major of the YMCA Fall Membership Drive while at G.E. and received the YMCA Nate Harrington Award in 1973. He was past president of the Industrial Management Club of Erie County. He was a charter member of the Church of the Cross. He enjoyed working in his yard and being with his family, friends, and neighbors.

Survivors include his wife, Carole Jean (Masiroff) Bush, whom he married August 10, 1957; a son, Larry D. Bush, Sr., wife, Leann, of Erie; two daughters, Kathy Heidt, husband, David, of Erie and Janice Andrews, husband, Dr. Philip Andrews, of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Joyce Cubley, husband, Lew, of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Gary Masiroff, wife, Diane, of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Larry Bush, Jr., wife, Charnetti, Jessica Anderson, Allison Krause, husband, Jonathan, Ariel McCullough, husband, Matt, Ryan Heidt, Peter and Alexander Andrews; great-grandchildren, Lance, Lauren and Lucas Bush, and Justin and Brady Anderson as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street, at Greengarden Boulevard, and on Saturday at the Church of the Cross, 5901 Millfair Road, from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 11 o'clock. Private interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
