Constance Marie Henretty, age 77, of Donalds, S.C., lost her valiant battle to leukemia on July 6, 2014. Connie was born on July 3, 1937, in Erie, Pa., to parents Marie (Romansic) and John Mangol, Sr., and was later adopted by her stepfather, Leonard A. Potter, formerly of Mount Dora, Fla.
Connie was preceded in death by her son, Dr. David Lee Hood, Ph.D., of Billings, Mont.
She was a bus driver for the Fairview School District for 25 years, before retiring to South Carolina. She carried a fondness for horses and dogs all her life, and enjoyed her gardening and relaxing in her pool.
Connie is survived by her husband, Rodney; two brothers: John (Edie) Mangol, Jr. of Union City, Pa. and David (Joyce) Potter of Mount Dora, Fla.; three daughters: Robin (Ron) Herhold of Girard, Pa., Linda (Frank) Martin of Fairview, Pa., and Kimberly (Wade) Ebert of Edinboro, Pa.; six grandchildren: Ryan, Erin, Aubriatta, Michalla, Brent, and Jaden; two great-grandchildren: Amonti and Azayha; along with many nieces and nephews.
No services will be held.
