Patricia Schuwerk Coccarelli, age 73, of Erie, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center, following a brief illness. A resident of Erie all of her life, she was born August 9, 1940, a daughter of the late Edwin P. and Marjorie E. Tate Schuwerk.

Patricia was a 1958 graduate of Lawrence Park High School and a graduate of the Hamot Hospital School of Radiological Technicians. She originally worked at Hamot Medical Center as an X-ray technician and went on to work at Keystone Auto Parts for 26 years and Blair Corporation before retirement. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Hyster Sisters Club, the Siebenbuerger Ladies Auxiliary, and the East Erie Moose Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and dining out.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Martino A. "Mart" Coccarelli, Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Laura White and her husband David, of Erie; two sons, Martino A. Coccarelli, Jr. and his wife Shelley, and Anthony J. Coccarelli, Sr., all of Erie; seven grandchildren, Katie Filutze and her husband Mike, Kara and Kym Drapcho, Nicholas Coccarelli, Angela Ritz, Martina Coccarelli and Anthony J. Coccarelli Jr.; one great grandchild, Cory Taylor Coccarelli; two sisters, Bette Birkes of Georgia and Kara Bogdanoff and her husband Michael of Philadelphia; one brother, Gary L. Schuwerk and his wife Nancy of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to a prayer service there on Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family, in Calvary Cemetery.
