Robert Sceiford, 91, of Waterford, died Saturday, July 19, 2014. A resident of the Erie area all of his life, he was born in Erie on January 30, 1923, a son of the late, Joseph and Mary Hoenes Sceiford.

Robert was a 1941 graduate of Academy High School and had attended the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State Behrend.

He had worked as a Plant Engineer at Hammermill Paper Company for over 40 years, before retiring in 1987.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Marjorie Winters Sceiford, and a granddaughter, Stacy Sceiford.

Survivors include five children, Warren Sceiford and his wife Lana of Albuquerque, N.M., Allen Sceiford and his wife Linda of Erie, Janice Ford and her husband John of Livonia, Mich., Donald Sceiford of McKean, and Steven Sceiford and his wife Mary of Waterford; one sister, Dorothy Stewart of Erie; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to "Friends of Pleasant Ridge," 8300 W. Ridge Rd., Girard, PA 16417.
