Florence E. Dziubkowski Allgeier, 82, a resident of Greene Township most of her life, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Forestview Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Erie on June 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Michael and Emily Kacnerski Dziubkowski.

Florence was a 1950 graduate of East High School, and went on to attend Erie Banking School. She was a bank teller for 30 years, having worked at Bank of Erie, Union Bank, and Mellon Bank, before retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, reading, old movies and TV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Allgeier; one son, Robert J. "Bob" Allgeier; and one sister, Wanda Benecki.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Allgeier and his wife Beverly of Waterford; two daughters, Geraldine Evan and her husband Jerry and Jo Ann Rebman, all of Erie; one brother, Robert Dziubkowski and his wife Anne of Harborcreek; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Gail and her husband Heath, Jason and his fiancée Samantha, Kelly and her fiancé Terry, Sara, Michael, and Katie; one great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and are invited to a prayer service there on Monday morning at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Forestview, for the care given to Florence.
