Walter G. Mack, age 83, of Harborcreek, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014. He was born in Erie on April 21, 1931, son of the late Walter A. and Violet Mack.

Walter was the owner of Mack and Son Flooring for 30 years. Prior to that, he was affiliated with A & B Wallpaper. He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist R. C. Church, was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and going to camp with his family. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Walter was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving on the USS Leyte, during the Korean Conflict.

Walter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Mack; three sons, Joseph Mack, Dennis Mack (Debbie), Scott Mack (fiancée Loureen); one sister, Barbara Lynch (Art); one brother, Christopher Mack (Cynthia); five grandchildren, Ashley Nowosielski (Rory), Kelly, Courtney, Mitchell and Rachael Mack; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Brayden, Hayden; and nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Mark the Evangelist R. C. Church, 695 Smithson Ave., on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
