Stella C. "Stacey" (Estelle) Dworakowski Obituary

Stella (Estelle) "Stacey" C. Dworakowski, age 91, residing at Brevellier Village, passed away Saturday August 9, 2014. She was born in Erie on June 11, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Czerwinski.

Stacey was a member of St. James R.C. Church. A graduate of East High School, she was employed at Liberty Bakery, Boston Store, Trasks, and then General Electric, until her retirement. Stacey enjoyed polka music and polka dancing, and traveled with her husband to many regional polka events. She treasured life and the time she spent with her family, especially most recently her great grandson. Stacey enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks outside at Brevellier Village.

Stacey is survived by her son, Russell Dworakowski (Paula ); her son-in-law, William Dehouske; one sister, Florence Bablak; two brothers, Walter and Richard (Doris) Czerwinski; two grandchildren, Erin Dworakowski and Andrea Wallis (David ); one great-grandson, Cooper David Wallis, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dworakowski; her daughter, Christine Dehouske; three brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Edward Czerwinski, and three sisters, Genevieve Rose, Irene Laboski and Sophia Wisniewski.

The family would like to extend a very warm thank you to the staff at Barnabas Court and Ball Pavilion for the care and compassion they showed to Stacey and her family.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m., and are invited to intended a Prayer Service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church. Interment will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brevellier Village, 5416 East Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16511.
