Rose C. (Valerio) Klie, age 92, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Erie, on November 22, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary (Mezzacappo) Valerio.

Rose loved spending time with her family. She was a "professional" cake decorator and enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Park B. Klie, in 2003, a daughter, Janice A. Suddarth; a great-granddaughter, Kori Durkin; three brothers, Anthony, Julio, and Vincent Valerio; and two sisters, Victoria Valerio and Ann Angelo.

Survivors include a son, David Klie, wife Corinne, of Mentor, Ohio; two granddaughters, Tammy Little and Tracey Durkin; one grandson, Christen Klie (wife Donna,) three great-grandchildren, T.J. Little, Megan Klie-Carson, and Michael Klie; and one great-great-grandson, Christopher Carson; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street ,at Greengarden Boulevard, on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a parlor service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Erie Humane Society. Condolences and photos may be sent at
