Margaret F. (Knapp) Kurtich, 73, of Fairview, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on May 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Margaret D. (Pass) Knapp.
Marge graduated from Erie's East High School in 1959. Following high school, she worked at Continental Rubber, Mason's Department Store, and had most recently been employed at Eriez Magnetics, where she retired from.
She most of all, enjoyed her family and spending time with them. She was always dedicated to her family and friends, and enjoyed driving on Presque Isle, spending time watching nature.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin L. Wegmiller.
Marge will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her sisters, Marian L. Santilli (Anthony) of North Hills, Pa.; Pam Maynard, with whom she resided, of Fairview; a brother, Frank A. Knapp (Linda) of Girard; her niece, Tracy Lee (Richard) and great-nephew, Brendan Lee of Fairview; and also many other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Saturday, at 10 a.m.
Margaret's family would like to express their gratitude to Regional Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Lisa Treusch, and neighbors, Mary and Nancy, for there exceptional care and compassion during her illness.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
