John Matthew Alleruzzo Loving Son, Father and Brother John Matthew Alleruzzo, age 34, of Millcreek, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 as a result of an auto accident. Born in Erie on June 18, 1974, he was a son of Dr. Anthony and Mary (Mombrea) Alleruzzo. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Michael and Beatrice Mombrea, paternal grandparents, Joseph and Giovanna Alleruzzo, and an aunt, April Cowan Besides his parents, survivors include a son, Justice Hunter, in Erie; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christine Alleruzzo, of Philadelphia, Pa. and a close friend Darlene Schrecengost. John attended Fairview High School, and graduated from the Millcreek School District. He worked in shipping and receiving at Plastek. He enjoyed music, playing the drums, and was a member of several bands, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. John was exceptionally good hearted and touched the lives of many. Friends may call Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th St., Friday at 10 a.m., following a private prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday led by the Our Lady of Peace Usher’s and Rosary Society.
