Thomas "Tim" Wiltanger, 59, of 306 W Sixth St., Oil City, died at 8:20 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010, at his home. Born January 28, 1951 in Oil City he was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline Bialo Wiltanger. He was a graduate of Oil City High School in 1968 and attended Tri State College. Tim was employed at Joy Mining Machinery Dept. 4 for 39 years; he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing locally and in both Wyoming and Arizona with his children and grandsons. He belonged to St. Stephen Church. He also belonged to the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers lodge number 1842 and Venango County Coon and Fox Club. He married his high school sweetheart, Pamela J. Paich on March 8, 1969 at Mount Carmel Church in Franklin, Pa. They would have celebrated 41 years of marriage this March. Tim is survived by one daughter Melissa A. Stark and her husband Alex Robert of Arizona, and one son, retired Air Force Master Sgt. Eric J. Wiltanger and his wife Karen of Wyoming. Also surviving are four grandsons, TJ and Zack Wiltanger of Wyoming and Tyler and Ryan Stark of Arizona. Tim is also survived by three brothers, Michael Wiltanger and his wife Darlene of Missouri, Jim Wiltanger and his companion Pam Baughman of Oil City, Joseph Wiltanger and his wife Debbie of Titusville and one sister, Linda Piercy and her husband John of Seneca. He considered his wife Pam's family his family, surviving are his mother-in-law, Betty McAlister of North Carolina, his sister-in-laws and spouses, Sheila O'Connor and husband J.T. of North Carolina, Diane Puleo and husband Larry of Oil City, Charlene Paich of Rocky Grove and brother in law Steven Paich of Franklin. Tim is also survived by the following nieces and nephews, Cassie Woolworth of Missouri, Matthew Wiltanger and his wife Laura of Kansas, Holly Finley and her husband Robert of Pittsburgh, Heather Knapp and her husband John of Hawaii, Nicholas O'Connor and his wife Angela of North Carolina, John Piercy and his wife Laura of Oil City, Ben Piercy of Seneca, Kristi Marnelos and husband Chris of Arizona, Kelly Beuchbert and her husband John of Erie, Gretchen Guth and her husband Doug of Polk, Brent Eichholtz of Franklin, Stephanie Puleo of Oil City and Heath Westfield and his wife Krys of Texas. Also surviving are 21 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Caroline Bialo Wiltanger of Oil City, his father-in-law Nick Paich of Polk, and two nephews, Michael Wiltanger Jr. of Kansas and Jeffrey Wiltanger of Arizona. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at Morrison Funeral Home, 110 Petroleum St, Oil City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 19, in St. Stephen Church in Oil City.
