Kara A. Pollard, age 16, of Millcreek, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Born in Erie, May 18, 1993, she was a daughter of Mary Pollard, with whom she lived, and Ronald Pollard, of North East. She was a junior at McDowell High School and danced for Long's School of Dance. She was a singer and an artist and was looking forward to going to Thailand as an exchange student. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Amber and Kelsey and a brother Evan; paternal grandparents, John and Ginny Pollard, of Meadville; maternal grandparents, Bob and Shirley Hubert, of Erie; several aunts, uncles and cousins; dear friends, Ken and Kathe Smith and family. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 W. 38th Street, at Greengarden Blvd., Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 and may attend a funeral service at Church of the Cross, 5901 Millfair Road on Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
