It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Pete Gulick, 90, on September 22, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. Pete was born to Mary and Metro Gulick on November 23, 1919. Pete lived his life by being totally devoted to his wife and family. He served his country during WWII in the Philippines and New Guinea. He was an anti-tank gunner and squad leader, and earned 3 Battle Stars during his 3-½ years in the South Pacific. He married his beloved Mary in 1945, they moved to Erie, Pa. and he worked for General Electric in the Aerospace Division for 34 years. He was a devout Byzantine Catholic, a passionate billiard player and loved a great game of baseball. He is survived by his devoted children: Dave (Sandy), Gerry, Chuck (Susan), Peter (Carol), and Joyce (Alan) Gough, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sisters Ann Bestvina and Helen Dishong, and many nieces and nephews. We are forever indebted to his niece Loretta Gulick, for the loving care she gave him for the last five years. A celebration of his life was held with the funeral mass at St. Stephen's Byzantine Church in Phoenix, Ariz. on September 27, 2010 with burial and military honors at Phoenix Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Pete's memory to: AZ Chapter American Parkinson Disease Association, 5905 East Pima St., Tucson, AZ 85712.
