Susan L. Martin (Christ), 51, of Albion, passed on Monday morning, October 18, 2010 at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan never lost hope, and she fought a hard fight every step of the way. She was born September 20, 1959 in Erie, daughter of William F. Christ Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Westfield, N.Y., and Rita A. (Bachmaier) Windsor and her husband, Larry, of Fairview. Susan graduated from Northwestern High School and went on to receive her nursing degree. She retired from SCI-Albion where she enjoyed working as a LPN. She was very proud of her work and dedicated to her career. Susan was an avid reader, she loved crafts, crocheting, and camping with her dog, 'Spike'. Above all, Susan was a dedicated wife and mother, always making family her priority. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 10 years, Paul Martin, whom she married August 31, 2000; a daughter, Jessica Pittsenbarger and her companion, Josh Henderson, both of Albion; a son, Jason Pittsenbarger of Edinboro; four step-children and several step-grandchildren; a brother, Mark Christ and his wife, Sherrie-Jo, of Erie; two sisters, Kathleen Yanoshik and her husband, Jake, of Edinboro, Beth Hancox and her husband, Chuck, of Albion; a step-sister, Deborah LeBarron and her husband, Edward, of Westfield, N.Y.; a special aunt, Nancy Glass of Erie; and several nieces. Friends may call at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Thursday from 12-3:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Fr.
