Kenneth M. Birkmire, Jr., "Little Kenny," 31, of McKean passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on February 10, 1980, a son of Kathleen Romba Birkmire of McKean, and the late Kenneth Birkmire, Sr. Kenny graduated from General McLane High School in 1998 and then went on to work for Birkmire Trucking, Excavating Specialties and most recently, Fiesler Recycling. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and working on the family farm. Kenny's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends, and was always making sure everyone was having fun. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Heather Klimek Birkmire; three children, Dakota, Maverick and Virginia; a sister, Karen Zeiser, and her husband, Brian; a brother, Keith Birkmire, and his wife, Emily, all of McKean; and his grandmother, Virginia Birkmire. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.), on Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of prayer service at 10:15, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 W. Main Rd., McKean, Pa at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark A. Nowak celebrant. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Funeral Home.
